One Year!!

Russ and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary last weekend (June 13th). He totally surprised me by taking me to a Bed and Breakfast in Midway (near Heber) called Johnson Mill. It was awesome! The place was beautiful and we had a great time!

This is the room we stayed in. It was so nice and the ceilings were so tall!
We had a balcony off of our room that had a great view. The view from one of our windowsShortly after we got there, we took out the canoe! There was a cute pond on the property which had a canoe and paddle boats. Russ made it fun and brought some "bubbly" (sparkling cider) and glasses.
This place was great! There were trails to walk on, waterfalls, ponds, streams. I loved it.

Happy First Russ!

Russ is a Roller Skater!...Really

One night when we were up in Logan (two weekends ago), we went Disco Skating! Can you guess who's idea this was?? I'll give you a hint..the same person who had the idea to go the night before our wedding.. Russ! He loves to roller skate (not blade). In high school him and his buddies used to dress up in their disco gear and go to the roller rink.

Russ didn't have any disco clothes in Logan, so he was searching around my parent's house trying to find something snazzy to wear. We were looking in my brother Max's things and we couldn't find any sweat bands or anything. Then..all of a sudden..the famous pink plaid suit jumped out in front of us! My mom made it years ago for my dad who was in a band. Ha ha, it's great! Look at this thing!
We went to the rink with Russ' bro Scott, his wife Diane, Russ' buddy Ryan and his girlfriend Alicia. We had a good time!

Check out Scott's helmet! Ryan and Alicia
Sweet move Russ!
This is the first video I've ever posted! Check out some sweet skating!

New Roof

We spent last weekend up in Logan. I love Logan. My parents needed help putting up a new roof. The men tore off the old one on Friday and then roofed all day Saturday. My parents had a lot of help.

I'm sure this isn't posed (wink wink)

My Daddy-o

While the boys were hard at work, us girls thought we'd go out to lunch, relax, and play. (Sorry we don't have muscles like you do boys)

St. George Fun!

Russ and I were invited to go down to St. George with my brother Adam and his wife Hillary two weekends ago. We drove down Friday after work and met Adam and Hill at the condo. Hillary's dad hooked us up with a condo, that was so nice. (i don't have pics of it!)

Friday evening, we went out to an awesome dinner. A fantastic mix of foods- Thai and sushi! Two of my favorites! Then we found a sweet ghetto bowling alley. We played pool, foosball, and goofed off, which was a lot of fun! Then we spent 5 hours at the grocery store (not literally) and Ad, Hill, and Russ stayed up until all hours of the morning playing cards. Meanwhile, I fell asleep on the couch.

Saturday was fun! We spent some time hiking around the rocks.

Russ and Adam thought it would be fun to try and catch a lizard (a big one!) Hill even joined in (her arms were smaller and could reach between the rocks). I can't even tell you how long they were trying to get that thing. I think the lizard got so wedged between the rocks, that I don't even know if he ever got out!

Later that evening, we went over to Hillary's parent's house, who live in St. George. Her sister and her kids were also there. Her parent's provided any fantastic pasta dinner for us. It was fun to visit with her family.

Russ and I had a great mini-vacation! Thanks Ad and Hill!

Memorial Day

Russ and I spent Memorial Day together. It was nice to have a day off. Two things I remember doing on Memorial Day are decorating graves and eating with family. Both of my grandma's are buried up in Logan, and we didn't get to visit them. However, we did go on a picnic, just the two of us, to Flat Iron Park. It was nice to enjoy the sunshine!
