Memorial Day

Russ and I spent Memorial Day together. It was nice to have a day off. Two things I remember doing on Memorial Day are decorating graves and eating with family. Both of my grandma's are buried up in Logan, and we didn't get to visit them. However, we did go on a picnic, just the two of us, to Flat Iron Park. It was nice to enjoy the sunshine!

Baseball

Russ and I were invited to a Bee's baseball game last Monday. We went with our friends Dave and Jessica, who live in the same apt complex as us. (My little bro Max would have enjoyed it, I'm sure!) It was good to get out and do something outside. I look forward to Summer nights! Yay
I thought I would be funny and use pieces of gum to give me "Buck Teeth", but as you can see, it didn't work out too well. But, Russ' face is nice!

Moving!

Russ and I moved into a new apartment about a week and a half ago and I love it! It is so great! It's in Midvale, close to the freeway and brand new! We are the first renters, which is awesome! The walls are a tan color and the doors are green. (Our last apt everything was just white) This is the 3rd place we've lived since we've been married and the move seemed very involved this time (the packing mostly). Luckily it is only about 15 mins away from our old place.

We painted our coffee table dark brown to match the living room better.

Packing Russ up to move..

He enjoyed it

We had so much help with the move! My parents and Hill Bill came down from Logan, Molly's family came up from Provo, Russ' family came over, and our friends Ryan, Mitch and Stacie helped as well! The move went very smooth thanks to so much help! Thank you all!

(You can't really see it in the picture, but we were holding up baby spoons that Molly happened to have. We used them to eat, due to the silverware still being packed.

Here is our place!

Our tub is BIG!

Happy B-Day Russ!

Russ turned 27 on Sunday. I decided to start celebrating it a day early. On Saturday we ate lunch at a place we love called "Simply Thai" then Russ went on a shopping spree! We hit, Kohls, TJ-Maxx, Downeast.. He got some great buys! Later on that day he went to the DI and Savers with Scott and spent the last of his B-day money on a tie and pair of black pants. Russ' favorite new clothes items are different colored khakis. He got dark gray, black, and brown. I'm glad he had a good shopping day.
That evening (not intentionally for his birthday) we met up with our friends Dave and Jessica and went to the Nicklecade. It was fun! Russ and I took our mug of change and changed it in for nickels. Then we were treated to a game of Laser Tag! Other than getting ganged up on by some young kids during the game, it was a fun night.

On Russ' real birthday I made him a cheesecake and we went over to Mama and Papa Petty's house for dinner and dessert. The whole family was together except for Rob (who is on a mission). I love Russ' family!

Spring is coming!

The weather has been so nice! When I can walk outside without a coat on and feel okay, the temperature is rising. Yay! I love Springtime and I am looking forward to spending more time outside.

Christmas Joys with the Kirschmans!

We didn't know how the weather was going to be on Christmas and if we would make it to Logan. We made it! We went straight to the Ozmun's for food and hanging out. When the time came to leave..the adventures begun! It snowed so much! Our car wouldn't make it up the hill. Well, lucky for us, Adam and Hillary's monster Jeep pulled us up and we all eventually got home safe and sound.

The guys shoveled snow..
Then they were able to have some fun! I guess the boys were excited with what they could do with all that snow. So, they bundled up and decided to pull each other behind the Jeep on a little sled. Crazy! At first it was just Ad and Russ, but Tom and the Bub (my dad) soon joined in.

While the boys were out in the cold, us gals stayed in where it was nice and cozy.

The Bub wasn't too happy after hitting a big puddle of ice water.. so he joined us inside.

The boys did end up coming in from the cold

We didn't open presents until like 10:00 or maybe even later. We had fun! I love my fam.

We spent a few days in Logan, and had lots of fun! The day after, most of us went to eat at Frederico's Pizza and to see a movie.

Russ and I were also able to spend some time with our friends, Dave and Christina Noack a couple of days after Christmas. They were up from Kentucky. Happy Holidays!

Christmas Joys!

I love spending Christmas with family! This year was Russell's and my first Christmas being married. We split the holiday this year with both our families.
We spent Christmas Eve with the Petty Peeps! We had a Cafe Rio dinner, snacks, of course, and tried out the new game Russ and I got from Scott and Diane, called "Loot". They gave it to us early, so we tried it out. It was a pirate card game , where you try to win as much gold as you can. It was fun.
Mama and Papa Petty had a full house that night. We were on couches, and air mattress, and Chris, Katrina, and the kids were downstairs at their place.

Fabulous Christmas morning photos! (Em, Russ, Stu-Russ' bro)

Christmas morning the whole family was together, besides Robert (Russ' bro who is on a mission in the Philippines). We went downstairs and watched the kids open their presents. They were cute!

Then we went upstairs to open our gifts.

Russ had the idea to get some of Papa Petty's old wrestling pictures (found in an old year book) and frame them. Russ had him sign the frame before Christmas. It was neat.
It was fun spending Christmas this year with my new family!
